Observations

So I still maintain blogs are pointless. Why am I posting then, you ask? To be honest, I don't know, maybe just to get my point across in a blog that blogs are lame? No, but still, they are. All the really juicy stories that should go on here are the ones I wouldn't share with anyone except my closest friends, why would I broadcast my personal life to a bunch of strangers? Not for attention or pity, like so a lot of people do. That's why some people do this though, the poor-me-I-am-so-miserable-feel-sorry-for-me fourteen year olds who are a lot more lucky than they realize. If, at fourteen, your life is as bad as it is ever going to get, then you are very lucky. Fourteen (or any of those early awkward teen phases) is not bad because here's a news-flash kiddos: EVERYONE GOES THROUGH THE SAME DAMN THING. It is not special or unique only to you, early teens years suck for everyone. Well, except me, I actually didn't mind them, but that's because I really am special and unique.

In other observations, have you ever taken some time and really watched people? Not just a brief moment in passing, but sitting down and watching people. Not the creepy kind that gets restraining orders, but basic observations of every day life. For example, I pretty much get the chance to do that every day at work, watch over students taking their online tests in Burnett. The facial expressions and actions are usually worth a chuckle. There is one student who comes in almost every day and always looks uncomfortable, like it physically pains him to come in and take a test. I don't know, maybe he has some sort of new ailment that has yet to be discovered, but it would be funny if it wasn't so sad to watch. He sits down in a chair, but doesn't really sit, like that hurts him too, and as he goes further and further on in the tests, his grimaces become more and more apparent. He always looks a lot better when the test is over, but when he walks out he walks really stiffly, like he knows his relief is going to be brief because he will have to come in and take another test sooner or later. And since he is taking Psych 181, it's definitely going to be sooner.
